The Thai Masseur learns his healing techniques from traditional masters, using principles

that have been validated by thousands of years of practice. Thai massage is based on the

theory that invisible lines of energy called Sen run through the body. Whilst not based on the

Chinese meridian system, it does rely on another system of energy lines that is quite similar.

Thai massage practitioners use hands, feet, elbows, knees and legs to stretch, balance

and energize the recipient's body.

No oils or creams are used, the recipient is fully clothed, and the massage takes place in a

suitable amount of space on, say, a floor or near a pool. The stretching often takes the form

of assisted yoga, and the massage itself relies upon the massage therapist kneading the

muscles, applying pressure to accupressure points, and flushing the toxins and dead cells from

the body. The effects of the massage are immediate and lasting, both spiritually & physically.

Light clothing should be worn.
